Don’t Know What to Write Articles About? Here’s Help

That Does it! I’m Going to Write my Novel in a Month

A short while ago, I dreamt the whole back site of a novel. You know, the place where you read about what you'll find inside the book.

When I woke up right after this dream, I ran upstairs to write it all down, so I wouldn't forget it.

But I already had another idea for a novel. Yeah, I have even started writing it, but got stuck. No writer's block. Just... don't know. Stopped writing, probably because of lack of confidence in myself and the project.

When I wrote to my proofreader and editor about my dream, he wrote back something that got me thinking (yes, that happens to me, too )

And I quote:

"Do I dare to write it?"

The answer is definitely a great big "YES!"

Creativity works best when you allow it to it to flow and, in most cases, is most productive when you're working on several different projects at once.

If you stop the flow in any way, there is a tendency for all those different channels to dry up.

Go for it, Girl!!!!

So... as you can see, I really have no choice.

I'm all for the concept of taking inspired action, and today I read about a product that promises to teach me to write my novel in a month. I checked the Web to see if somebody had written a review, and it seems that some known authors recommend it (like Nick Daw).

So I went ahead and ordered the cd. (Why didn't they give me a download link? They should know how impatient I am )

Anyway, that gives me the time to prepare myself to the fact that after this, I really have no excuse. I only need to spend 40 minutes a day, writing, and they have a strong guarantee: If I haven't written and published my novel in 30 days, I can get my money back.

Those videos make great information! No doubt about it!

But one video talks about how to format the text by bolding words here and there, and Ezine Articles does not allow that.

Another video tells about how to buy traffic to your Ezine Articles to get them among the 15 most viewed. This is not permitted by Ezine Articles. Don't do it!

Let your articles speak their own language, and they will show up on that top 15. And that would be honest. Buying your position would not be.

Montblanc Fountain Pen

Now you may find that I'm rather outdated and old-fashioned, because why in the world do I start talking about a manuel writing tool like the Montblanc Fountain Pen?

That's because you need one. Even though you do your daily article writing or book writing on a computer, you need an a pen too, and you need a good one. Let me tell you why.

A computer is brilliant, when it comes to writing articles, books, short stories, novels, etc, but when it comes to short notes, nothing beats pen and paper.

On my desk in front of me right now, lies two Montblanc pens and a notebook. When I need to make a quick note of something, I jot it down on the paper.

Brainstorming for new articles? I put those on paper too. It's faster and more convenient than having it on your computer screen.

A pen, yes, that makes sense, but why a Montblanc?

A Pen Is Not Just a Pen

When I met my husband many years ago, he spoke a lot about a big wish he'd always had: To own a Montblanc pen.

I had heard about them, and I knew that some crazy people were collecting them, but I've never seen one. On a holiday in Spain he found a Montblanc pen in a shop, but I couldn't understand what all that fuzz was about. Why pay so much for a pen that didn't even look pretty?

My husband was really happy about his Montblanc Fountain Pen, and I was happy on his behalf.

One day, I had to write something down here and now, and I didn't have a pen within reach - except his Montblanc. So I grabbed it, and used it, and I totally changed my mind about this writing instrument.

Although I've had expensive pens before, none of them wrote in the way this pen did. It was so easy to write with it, and the ink came out of it in a nice, flowing stream, not leaving any spots in it's trail. It was plain joy to write with this Montblanc Fountain Pen. Now I understood, why he had talked so much about it, and why he still was so happy about this pen.

He gave me one for my next birthday, and although it's many years ago, it is still the pen I use daily. Now I have several others, among those a cute, tiny one with a notebook in my handbag, so I can always be ready to jot down an idea, when it occurs.

I feel that it's not only easy to write me, it also inspires me to start writing. I love the sight of virgin paper, and my Montblanc, just waiting for me to come up with new article ideas, or ideas to new information products. This pen has definately made me more money than it ever costed.

What Should You Write About?

People tell me they don't know what to write about on their blogs. And yet, all the same time they tell me interesting stories.

Like today.

My husband and I were talking over lunch, and I told him something about how a person was asking others to pray for his kids.

So my husband told me a story (that he had told me several times before, but I don't mind) about a couple who had six (6!) kids, and whenever they asked others for help - just to get some time off by themselves, or some extra money - these others would answer: We'll pray for you.

His solution to their problem surprised me, but it was a wise solution.

He told them that they had chosen to get the kids, and now they had to accept that they had them.

They also had to learn that you do not need time without kids. You can fullfill yourself with kids, just as well.

My husband has a blog about psychology, so I asked him: Why don't you write a blog post about that?

He answered: About what?

Me: Well, about the story you just told me.

He argued that why should people want to read about that story, but I said that many people could learn from it, even though their problems were not exactly like this young couple's.

So there you have it!

Write down the stories you tell others in your blog.

If the subject isn't fitting for the blog? No problem! Create another blog.

I have blogs about different subjects like writing, making money online, cats, computer tips, herbs and oils, the law of attraction and other things I'm interested in. I don't write on all those blogs daily, but whenever I feel like writing about something, I always have the right blog to write on.

Article Writing – how to create Unique Titles to your Articles

At Yahoo Answers somebody asked a question about how to give a unique title to an article. She wanted some tips to help her out.

My answer was chosen as best answer by the asker, and I'll bring it below.

What kind of articles are you writing? I don't mean topic, but are you writing for newspapers, magazines or the Internet?

First of all you should always remember that the title has only one purpose: to make people want to read your article.

So use means to make them curious. Ask questions, they will only be able to answer, when they have read the article (questions that cannot be answered with Yes or No is better)

Or give a promise that you fulfill with your article, like "Seven ways to get rid of acne for good".

If you are writing for the Internet, you should make sure to have keywords in the title. What will people search for on the Internet? Put those words into your title.

It's also a good idea to reuse those keywords or other related in a way that you start with the main keywords. Examples: "Money Online - Are You Making These 7 Deadly Sins in Internet Marketing?" or "Weight Loss - Can You Lose Fat Playing Games on a Wii Fit?"

But then again, it depends on what your purpose is for your articles, because titles for newspapers and magazines are often shorter, and you don't have to think a lot about keywords for them.

Is it worth your time writing articles or paying others to do so for you?

Today I made a search on Google for "replace myself by john jonas" and look, what I found. My article is number one, the official site is number 4, and I have another article on number 6.
